Halton region woodlot management workshop to help local residents save on their property taxes

Your forested property may reduce your taxes!
(Halton, ON) The Ontario Forestry Association and the Trees Ontario Foundation are presenting a free woodlot management workshop at the Halton Conservation Office near Lowville on Wednesday, September 12, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Landowners with over 10 acres of forest will find out how to apply for property tax relief of up to 75% under the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program, set objectives for their properties, prepare forest stewardship plans and identify local resources to assist them in achieving their management goals.
This workshop is hosted by the Conservation Halton and Hamilton-Halton Watershed Stewardship Program. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended.
